Information about the publisher:
Manuel de Muga founded Ediciones Polígrafa in Barcelona in the mid-1960s, first as a book publisher, then also as a printer and print publisher. The artists (including Miró, Tapies, Chillida, Christo, Guinovart, Canogar) were offered a whole range of printing techniques, etching, lithography, xylography and much more. And this was very well received by the artists and was used accordingly. The production was and is immense. Hardly any Spanish artist who has not published anything at Poligrafa. Accordingly, Poligrafa is known worldwide, with a large presence especially in South America. The "current" artists come mainly from there, but also from North America, China and Eastern Europe.
Also the book production was and is an important mainstay, many important catalogue raiseonne (Miro !) and catalogues were published by Poligrafa and distributed internationally.
